Starting from the 26th October, Qatar Airways are introducing non-stop direct flights to Phuket. Middle-Easter Airlines such as Emirates are already extremely popular with those visiting Thailand, and this latest news from Qatar Airways is great news for those seeking a quality airline ticket.
Qatar Airways already has a daily Doha to Phuket route, which is via Kuala Lumpur that started back in 2010 and has been a great success. Chief Executive of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker recently said “The start of non-stop services from Doha to Phuket offers travellers from around the world access to the popular tourist destination in a reduced time, from across our expanding global network.”
The airplanes used for the new flight route to Phuket will be the Airbus A330, which has 236 economy seats and a two-class configuration of 24 seats in Business Class.
Akbar Al Baker finished off by saying “Visitor numbers to Phuket are on the rise and Qatar Airways will look to take advantage of the non-stop connections to the city in the days to come.”
